Couple waives hearing in neglect case

Arraignments have been continued for a Prague couple facing child neglect and drug charges after they had brought their child into the hospital and reportedly were intoxicated.Charged with felony child neglect are Devon C. Rodriguez, 32 and Camille Breean Akins, 30.

Trial set in woman’s rape case

Preliminary hearings have been set for a Prague woman facing three felonies, among them first degree rape.Taylor Jo Bittle, 18, was charged in Lincoln County District Court on Feb. 26 of this year with distribution of obscene material or child pornography.

Turnpike driver charged with trafficking

It was a beautiful early summer day.Warm, but not too hot. Sunny. The best kind of day to venture out to the pool or hit a hiking trail. Maybe socialize with the neighbors.Zipping around Oaklake Trails in golf carts, the residents and guests certainly took advantage of the weather on June 7.

Construction of a new entrance to North Rock Creek School off of SH 18 should start sometime this month, District 1 Pottawatomie County Commissioner Melissa Dennis says.Dennis said she is waiting on a crop to be cut before she begins construction.
