Kolache Festival Saturday

The town of Prague invites everyone to “Be Czech for A Day” at the annual Prague Kolache Festival this Saturday. Everyone is invited to come celebrate the Czech traditions. Activities start at 9 a.m. and continue to 10:30 p.m. along Main Street that runs through the City Park.

Prague man sentenced

A Prague man has been sentenced to prison and he still awaits a jury trial on multiple other felonies. Formal charges of Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon, a felony, were filed in Lincoln County District Court March 22, 2022 against Mick Devin Vancuren who was 31 at time.

8th Grade Grads

WHITE ROCK- As the school year comes to an end the 2023 8th grade class will have 13 alumni graduating from White Rock. The class is experiencing bittersweet emotions as they are getting ready to leave middle school behind and walk into high school with heads up and shoulders back.

School Growth

There are a lot of factors to consider when analyzing school growth. One could consider the academic growth or even building expansions, but how about a small school growing so fast it is bursting at the seams? White Rock public school has more than doubled in size in less than five years.

Radcliffe wins poetry contest

Allison Radcliffe, an 8th grade Pre-APEnglish student in Chandler Jr. High School, won first place in the 5th -8th grade division of the Wonder City Wordfest 2023 Oklahoma Poem Contest. There were 553 entries.

Arson charge dropped

A second degree arson charge filed against a Meeker area man in January has been dismissed by the state. Youlha Rhodes, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Jan. 13 with second degree arson.
