Pre-prelim hearing continued in DUI injury case

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer A pre-preliminary hearing has been continued again for a driver from Shawnee facing a felony count and a misdemeanor charge following a two-vehicle personal injury traffic collision at U.S. 177 and Highway 66 near Wellston.

Chandler named certified film-friendly community

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) announced on Dec. 17 that Chandler has received film friendly certification by fulfilling the requirements of OF+MO’s Oklahoma Film Friendly Community Program.

Dispositional hearing set in trafficking case

Higher tolls

Staff WriterEMILY KALKA Starting on Jan. 1, a systemwide toll increase went into effect on turnpikes in the state, according to a press release from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) released on Dec. 31.

County commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners during their most recent meeting approved a low bid for equipment and outfitting of five 2024 Dodge Ram vehicles for the Sheriff’s Department.County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said the low bid was submitted by Light’em Up for $45,350.
