Merlin Dale Bridge was born to Merlin J. Bridge and Alpha Fay (Mendenhall) Bridge on February 11, 1938, in Chandler, Okla. He married Frances Ruth Burk on June 9, 1960, in Chandler, and to them, were born five children.

Kenneth Leon Williams

Kenneth Leon Williams was born November 29, 1932, and died March 12, 2022, in Stroud. He was 89 years old. Williams, who grew up in Stroud with his mother Edith and stepfather Woodrow W. Sosbee, married Peggy Sue Hicks of Davenport of August 20, 1954.

Richard Hobill

Richard “Rich” Hobill of Chandler, Okla., was born to Bob and Marie Hobill on January 5, 1948, in Downey, Calif. He passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 74. Rich is a veteran of the United States Army and worked in construction as a master carpenter for most of his life.

Minnie Lou Wade

Minnie Lou Wade, 81, was born September 15, 1940 in Lamar, Okla., to Dan and Ida Lee (Brown) Dickerson. She passed away March 12, 2022 in Wellston surrounded by her family. Minnie was a faithful member of The Way to Jerusalem Church in Wellston. She loved everyone and loved God.

Charles Harold Sharp

Charles “Charlie” Harold Sharp was born to Harold and Lola (Armstrong) Sharp on May 31, 1954. He died Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Edmond, Okla., at the age of 67 years. Charlie served in the United States Army and worked with the union operating heavy machinery until retirement.

Carl Franklin Crownover

Carl Franklin Crownover was born November 13, 1933 in Meeker Okla., the youngest of three siblings. He enjoyed growing up on a farm and in his later years loved showing off the drawing he made of the old homestead, which he later had painted.

Edna Nova Herrmann

Edna Nova Herrmann, age 91, went to be with her Lord on March 2, 2022, surrounded by family at her home in Chandler, Okla. Nova was born September 15, 1930, in Chickasha, Okla., to Henry Franklin and Edna (Kitching) Butler. Nova and her family always lived around Lincoln County.

Karen Onettia (Feil) Hajny

Karen Onettia (Feil) Hajny formerly of Wellston, Okla., who resided in Kopperl, Texas in her later years, passed away on March 1, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee, Okla., with her children and grandchildren beside her.

Michele “Mickey” Elaine Hopkins

A funeral service will be held for Rickey Don Hilburn, 61, of Stroud at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud with Pastor Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery under the care of Parks Brothers Funeral Service.
