Finally some relaxation

This weekend was supposed to be big. It was the two year anniversary of my biological father passing away and I wanted to celebrate his life with some of my closest friends at his favorite place, our family farm in Heavener, Oklahoma.

Town Talk

Town Talk will be decorating the flowerpots on Main Street this year for Christmas. We haven’t in the past but decided to take on the project this year. If anyone has any nonbreakable bulbs they would like to donate, we would love to have them.

Prairie Pointe Happenings

Time flies when you are having fun…..or not. My month away from Prairie Pointe was so hectic, I had to come back to get some rest. About half of “the list” remains but I got a lot accomplished in spite of the ice storm.

Our first Halloween together

The day started off as a normal Saturday usually does. Sleep in, eat breakfast, get ready for the day, leave for work. I had a few things on my agenda to do which included taking photos of my cousins football game, having coffee with an old friend and covering the Trunk or Treat event in Wellston.

October ice storm

I was planning to work from home and stay off the roads Tuesday morning, but the power went off on our part of the rural route about 9 a.m. and plunged the household into the Pre-Technology Dark Ages.

Updates from Meeker Town Hall

1. Update on Glenncrest Park A. Seven loads of sand were delivered to the park for the new concrete contractor to spread out to level the ground. B. Britches Ryerson has been chosen to do our new concrete parking lot. His crew will start putting forms in place next week.
