Lady Tigers on roll with winning streak

The Lady Tigers (15-1, 6-1) are riding a seven-game winning streak, scoring an average of 11.6 runs per game and winning by an average margin of 10 runs. There are a handful of Stroud players contributing toward the successful 15-1 2019 season.

Lady Red Devils rack up two wins

The Lady Red Devils returned from Labor Day Weekend with two dominating district wins followed by a narrow district loss at Newkirk. Prague (14-4, 5-1) are in a good position in the final stretch of the season to finish in the top four of its district.

County schools compete in CC

On a partially cloudy morning, several area schools competed at the Prague Invitational Cross-Country Meet on Saturday, September 7. The meet consisted of junior high and high school teams varying from Class 3A and below and saw a record attendance of 30 schools and 570 entries.

Lady Lions come out ahead in tournament

The Lady Lions of Chandler (10-10, 1-1) competed at the McLoud/Dale Tournament this past weekend, playing in five games and finishing the tournament winning three of their five games. Chandler’s two losses in the tournament came at the hands of two Class 4A opponents, McLoud and Tecumseh.

The Stroud High School Tigers’ varsity football team, projected to be one of the top teams in Oklahoma at the Class A level, came out of the gate strong in the 2019 season Thursday night with a dominant 26-8 victory over the rival Chandler High School Lions.

Chandler High School lady Lions softball played two games last Thursday, August 29, getting one win and one loss on the day. First up for Chandler was a strong team from Holdenville. The Lady Lions struggled to get an offense going and were defeated by Holdenville 8 to 0.

Wellston Tigers fall to Wesleyan Mustangs

A total of 132 points were put on the board Friday night, August 30, 2019, as the Wellston Tigers fell to the Wesleyan Christian Mustangs by a score of 54 to 78. The Mustangs scored first on a 66-yard run with 10:41 le in the first quarter and led 7 to 0 when the point after kick was good.
