Outlook for hunting seasons

With the annual dove season opener just under a week away, area game wardens are indicating doves are still spotty. However, looking further ahead, they say there are plenty of deer.

Meeker: 1-2 at Stroud

Braxton Bussell and Riley Randall put an exclamation point on the season-opening cross country meet at Stroud Saturday. The Meeker juniors finished first and second, with Bussell running ahead the entire race and winning the hardware with a time of 10:43.

The Chandler and North Rock Creek fast-pitch teams put their youth on display and rolled to tournament championships last week.
