Chandler headed to prison

A Chandler man with at least one previous conviction facing two new felonies has entered guilty pleas to both and drawn prison time on each count.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District on March 24, 2025 against Scott Grady Sweeden, 46.

Local school boards, like all other public entities, are expected to comply with the state’s Open Meeting Law.In fact school board members are required to attend and complete a certain number of hours of education and the Open Meeting Act is part of that.There’s a good reason for the law.

Easter Sunday was a great day with the family. We even had the grandson Liam spend a night with us over the weekend.My wife Pat had gone over Friday afternoon to be with our daughter Meghan in Norman and she brought him him back with her early Friday evening.

Weber re-elected Meeker mayor

Meeker Town Board of Trustees this week approved a supplemental budget for the town and re-elected its mayor and vice mayor for twoyear terms. A new board member was also sworn in after he earlier won election unopposed.

Life sentences for Prague man

A Prague man who earlier pleaded guilty to 12 counts of child sexual abuse has been sentenced by plea agreement to life in prison on all counts running concurrently.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District on Nov. 8. 2024 against Riley Draper, 35.

Four picked for ambulance board

Lincoln County commissioners this week appointed four members to the 522 Ambulance Service District Board with two more to be appointed at their next meeting.District 1 Commissioner Will Fine had his two appointments ready as did District 2 Commissioner Marlon Miller.
