Stroud man going to trial

A Stroud man facing eight felonies following his arrest by officers and who has been bound over to stand trial and has pleaded innocent, has been set for a felony disposition docket in April.Formal charges were filed Sep. 24, 2024 in Lincoln County District Court against Acey Ambrose Murphy, 33.

Walters to allow ICE agents to enter schools

On Jan. 24, Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters said that the Oklahoma State Department of Education will support President Donald Trump’s immigration policies and allow U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents to enter schools.

66 Tournament

The McLoud Redskins came from behind to take a tight 52-46 over Chandler in the finals of the 66 Conference tournament Saturday night in Seminole.The win gave the Redskins their second conference championship in their nine years in the conference. They previously won it in 2016.

Our daughter Meghan, son-inlaw Terry and our grandson Liam have come over and spent some time with us during the last couple of weekends.It’s the first time they have come to visit us since a brain tumor was removed from Meghan in early December and it was diagnosed as cancerous.

Wastewater grant for Carney
