Guilty plea in harboring case

A Prague woman facing a harboring from justice charge has pleaded guilty to the charge and drawn a deferred sentence except some time to be served in the county jail. Whitney Harrison, 34 at the time and from Prague, was charged July 29, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court.

Hearing continued in three-county case

A preliminary hearing has been continued for a driver in a high speed pursuit that reportedly started in Perkins, went down U.S. 177 clear to I-40 and ended at the Dale Middle School after partially running through a farmer’s wheat field. The driver, identified as Roderick David Pope, Jr.

Trials set for Chandler man

Jury trials have been scheduled on several felonies in two separate cases for a Chandler man already an inmate in the Lincoln County Jail who most recently has been accused of attempting to prevent witnesses from testifying against him.

County Commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners during a brief special meeting this week approved a Change Order for a bridge in District 1 and adopted a resolution authorizing funds for two Change Orders on that bridge. They also took no action yet on repair or replacement of an air conditioner over the jail.

Lady Lions win Tournament

Chandler ran off four straights win to claim the championship of the 66 Conference Tournament last week. The Lady Lions beat Seminole and defending champion Prague at home on Thursday, then beat Stroud, 2-1, Saturday afternoon at Okemah to set up the championship game with McLoud.
