Murder suspect gets new charge... while in jail

A man who is awaiting trial on a first degree murder charge, and who was handed prison terms on five non-related felonies last November, faces a new felony he allegedly committed while in the Lincoln County jail. Cole Beringer Guy, now 21, was charged Feb.

Pamela Jean Flatlie

Pamela Jean Flatlie, lifelong Davenport resident, departed this life at her home on Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born June 21, 1954 in Davenport, OK to Harold and Betty (Tipton) Waldroup. Pamela was a graduate of Davenport High School class of 1972.

Mary “Beth” Combs

Mary “Beth” Combs was born on July 20, 1971, in Lebanon, Oregon. She was born to Bill and Deanie Easter, and was the fourth of five children. She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on May 17, 1987, by Bro. Richard Hays.

Pamela Denise Boren

Pamela Denise Boren was born December 4, 1953 in Chandler to Lawton and Lula Mae (Hale) Peace. She died February 8, 2023 at the age of 69. Pam graduated from Meeker High School with the class of 1971. In her younger years she worked as a police officer later working in retail for many years.

Nadene Matthews

Long-time Chandler resident, Nadene Mathews, passed away February 6, 2023, at 91 years of age. Nadene was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, and her husband.

Ronald “Ronnie” Moore

Ronald “Ronnie” Dee Moore, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma resident, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the age of 76. Ronnie was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on October 30, 1946, to Otho Lee and Betty Jean (Sexton) Moore.

Kevin Ray Whitmore

Kevin Ray Whitmore was born on February 3, 1961 and passed away on February 9, 2023. Kevin was born to Forrest “Frosty” and Betty (Smith) Whitmore. He graduated from Tipton High School. After high school, Kevin worked some odd and end jobs.

Imogene Harbin

On December 20, 1925, north of Chandler, Oklahoma, Imogene Harbin was born, the first child of George and Opal Harbin. Her parents later presented her with two brothers and two sisters, who supported her in her career. Before Imogene started school, her parents were her first teachers.

January Rotarians announced

Emma Cummings and Payton Miller have been selected as Rotarians of the Month for the month of January. Emma Cummings is the daughter of Rafe and Christon Cummings. Emma has one older brother, Ethan Cummings.
