Hearing continued in child porn case

A pre-preliminary hearing has been continued to later this month for a Stroud man arrested by OSBI agents in July on two felony counts dealing with child pornography. John Mack Byrd., Jr.

Bench warrant issued for man charged with arson in jail fire

A $50,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Prague man on an arson charge and an Oklahoma City man has been charged along with him. A formal felony charge of first degree arson was filed last month in Lincoln County District Court against Peyton Jade Nash, 22.

Commissioners’ meeting

Lincoln County Commissioners during a recent special meeting took no action on the purchase of real property nor did they take any action on contract employment with a grant writer.

Long-time Stroud resident Delmer Summers suffered a terrible loss when his home went up in flames this past Saturday. His daughter Kalah resides with him but was not home at the time. I spoke with Delmer, and he told me he was lighting a kerosene heater when it just blew out on him.

Dale Board of Education meeting

During the most recent Dale Board of Education meeting, School Supt. Will Jones provided board members revenue comparisons of December 2021 and December 2022. In December of 2021, warrants totaled $2,427,862 and in December 2022 the figure was $2,585,539 which is $157,677 more.
