For the first time this season, Chandler’s offense bolted from the gate and then hung 20 firstquarter points on Hennessey Friday night, setting up a 48-16 win that wasn’t nearly as close as the final score.

Tigers romp over Chelsea

Stroud dominated the Chelsea Dragons, 52-14, in the first round of the playoffs Friday night to advance to this week’s game with Commerce. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Jack Poskey Stadium in Stroud.

Davenport falls to Pioneer

For only the second time in 19 years, the Davenport Bulldogs haven’t made it beyond the first round of the high school football playoffs. They dropped a 40-6 contest at the hands of the Pioneer Mustangs in a road matchup. The Bulldogs end the season with an overall mark of 6-5.

Meeker school board meeting

Meeker’s Board of Education this week approved the district’s final Estimate of Needs for 2022-2023. School Supt. Jeff Pruitt advised the board total revenue estimates are $6,651,466.87.
