School bond issue

The Chandler Board of Education has adopted a resolution calling for a capital bond issue that would fund at least four projects. Chandler School Supt. Scott Baade said the action came during a special meeting late last week.

Chandler, Stroud playoffs

Chandler and Stroud play Friday in the state quarterfinals at Edmond Santa Fe and Kingfisher, respectively. Both games kick off at 7 p.m. TheLionsbeatFrederick, 56-21, Friday and face Vitory Christian, which beat Prague, 48-20, ending the Red Devils’ season.

The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Chandler Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Festival at the Lincoln County Courthouse will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The parade line-up will be at 6:45 p.m.

Ray Eugene Bishop was born December 14,1927 to George L. Bishop and Ola (Gentry) Bishop in Payson, Oklahoma. He passed away on November 11, 2022 at his Edmond home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 94. He married Deloris Frazier in December of 1945.

June Evans, 86, loving mother of three, passed away on October 30, 2022 in Fremont, Ohio. June was born to Ralph and Lillie Parker in Long Beach, California in 1936, their youngest of two daughters. She married Bill Evans on February 21, 1953, in Long Beach, California.

Warrant in repair fraud case

A $15,000 bench warrant has been issued for a man charged with two felonies in a case involving home repairs he allegedly took money for but hasn’t done. Joshua Julien Factory, 41, Luther, was charged Nov.
