Suspects in homicide appear in court

Four members of a motorcycle club charged in connection with the murder of a former Midwest City Marine killed last September have made court appearances. The State Attorney General’s Office last week filed first degree murder charges against Steven Roberts, 55, and Virgil Earl Nelson, 67.

Shooting charges

A Prague man faces three felonies after he was arrested for allegedly firing a rifle at two men. Samuel Lane Wyatt, 31, was formally charged in December in Lincoln County District Court with two counts of shooting with intent to kill and possession of a firearm while on probation.

Firearms charged filed

A Chandler man is facing several firearms-related charges after deputies reportedly responded to multiple gunshots at a rural Lincoln County residence. Paul Matthew Robledo, 35, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Dec. 28 with one felony and two misdemeanors.

Chandler Chamber to meet

The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce will have a luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the Route 66 Interpretive Center, 400 E. 1 st Street in Chandler. Food will be catered by Hello! Catering. The guest speaker will be Tracey Bender.

Chandler Library waives fines for food donations

The Chandler Public Library food drive will continue through Friday, Jan. 14. Bring non-perishable food items to the library and fines will be waived for previously returned overdue books or for overdue books returned along with the food items. This does not apply to lost book fees.
