Property assessments begin

The Lincoln County Assessor’s office will take exemption applications and personal property assessments Monday, Jan. 3 through Tuesday, March 15, 2022, according to Assessor Jackie Holcomb. Reminders will be mailed to property owners on Thursday, Dec. 30.

More charges for Chandler man

A Chandler man who already had been charged with a felony in November, now faces three additional felony counts. Christopher Allen Michael Hyde, 20, was charged Nov. 10 in Lincoln County District Court with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.

Board of Education Primary Election announced

The Lincoln County Election Board has announced that on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, Primary Elections will be held for Board of Education Office No. 2 in Carney School District and Board of Education Office No. 2 in Prague School District.

It’s that time of year again to write down the resolutions for the coming 12 months. I’m curious to see what 2022 will bring. One of mine is to continue having the willingness to take on improvements around the house and the yard.

Town Talk

It is hard to believe this is the last paper for 2021. Stroud experienced many blessings as well as losses. Our community was hit hard this past year with the deaths of too many of our citizens. Let’s continue to remember those families with our prayers and acts of kindness.

Hearing continued in chase case

A pre-preliminary hearing for a Guthrie man facing a felony and four misdemeanors has been continued until January. Formal charges were filed June 22 in Lincoln County District Court against Paul Jimmy Laray Fox, 27, after he fled from law enforcement officers and eluded them for several hours.

Arrest in domestic assault case

Chandler police and a Lincoln County deputy arrested a subject after they were called to a reported domestic assault of a woman who had suffered a stroke three weeks earlier. A formal charge of domestic assault and battery was filed in Lincoln County District Court on Nov.

Kingdom of Heaven

Jesus went about teaching how to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Many people believed He was the one to follow. To those who followed Him they received the Holy Ghost which is God Himself. It’s kind of hard to believe we were all named from the beginning with a spiritual name.
