Memories of Christmas time

Seventy years ago today my mother passed away. She had turned 30 only four months before. Today, as I have done for many, many years, I’ll lay a wreath at her grave commemorating her death. If alive today, she would be 100 years old.

Trial set in shooting of Lincoln County man

A jury trial has been scheduled for a Wellston man charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of a 21-year-old Lincoln County resident last summer. Freddie Antonie Seamster, 38, is accused of fatally shooting 21-year-old Lucas Goss with a firearm in Lincoln County on July 5.

Additional felonies filed on Chandler man

A Chandler man who already had been charged with a felony in November, now faces three additional felony counts. Christopher Allen Michael Hyde, 20, was charged Nov. 10 in Lincoln County District Court with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
