Dale School Board sets transfer policy

The Dale Board of Education Monday evening approved a student transfer policy to be in compliance with a new state law that takes effect Jan. 1. Acting School Supt. Ky Wilkins advised the board, “Every school must adopt a student transfer policy setting a number which is our capacity.

Charges filed in credit card spree

Lincoln County officers arrested a woman after she allegedly stole money and a purse and used a stolen debit card to purchase merchandise and products. A felony charge of Pattern of Criminal Offenses was formally filed Nov.

Hart inducted into collegiate honor society

Chloe Hart of Chandler was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Hart was initiated at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Fines waived for food donations

The Chandler Public Library is having a food drive. Bring non-perishable food items to the library from now until Jan. 14, 2022. Fines will be waived for previously returned overdue books or for overdue books returned along with the food items. This does not apply to lost book fees.

This past Tuesday marked the 80th anniversary of the infamous bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. On that Sunday morning in 1941, Japanese planes unleashed a bombardment, killing and injuring thousands of American military personnel and many civilians.

Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Stroud for another great Christmas parade. There was a nice crowd and a fun time was had by all. The parade had a total of 38 entrants. Projects like this take lots of work from everyone involved. Stroud is lucky to have such great volunteers.

Six new felony charges against Wellston man

A $100,000 bench warrant has been issued for a Wellston man who previously was convicted of several felonies and is now facing six new felony charges. The new felonies were filed in Lincoln County District on Nov. 4 against Chad Everett Roberts, 36.
