To The Editor, I have a confession. I am an addict. My ability to build and to destroy has been equal. As I work to figure out what it is that makes up this part of me the only thing that matters to me is what’s next. It’s silly for me to deny that addiction has been a driving force in my life.

My wife Pat and I attended a memorial service this past weekend for a friend we’d known for around 30 years. It was a very nice service that honored his life. He was a military veteran and the setting couldn’t have been better on a beautiful Saturday morning overlooking the lake.

Town Talk volunteers had a very productive day this past Friday. Our volunteers, plus nine student volunteers from Creighton, worked on the miniature golf course all day.

Lincoln County commissioners voted 2-1 this week to approve redistricting of the three county commissioner districts. The redistricting takes effect Jan. 1, 2022.

Hearing set in homicide

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Wellston man who is charged with first degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Lincoln County resident last summer. The charges were formally filed in Lincoln County District Court in July against Freddie Antonie Seamster, 38.

One dead in helicopter crash near Stroud

The pilot of a two-seater Ultra light helicopter died Monday afternoon when his chopper crashed in a field north of Stroud. Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty identified the deceased pilot as Carrie Wilson, 66.
