Now that we’re having some pretty weather, it’s a great time to take a walk down Main Street and see Stroud’s Walk of Honor. Family members, friends and even some veterans themselves have chosen to be a part the Walk of Honor by purchasing a banner.
When the forecast started showing a frost/freeze warning for Tuesday night, my first thought was: “No biggie. We’ll just bring the garden into the house.”
And so we did.
Knowing what is permitted for me to do in the kitchen cookingwise is a lesson I learned many, many years ago. It’s limited I assure you. Thank goodness for the microwave oven. Otherwise, it would be extremely difficult.
It’s not that I don’t know how to cook, because I assure you I do.
1. Update on Glenn Crest Park
A. Glenn Crest Park is open to the Public.
B. Robbie Hulstine Enterprises did complete the beautiful stonework on the two columns that hold our “Welcome to Glenn Crest Park” sign.
C. The ribbon cutting for the Grand Opening had to be cancelled because of the rain.

The Town of Meeker has a new Mayor and Vice Mayor following the Board of Trustees meeting earlier this week.
The Trustees appointed Jeff Wilbourn as the new Mayor and Donna Weber as Vice Mayor.
Wilbourn replaces Aaron Head as the mayor.
The number of new cases in the area attributed to COVID-19 has jumped some in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties, Oklahoma State Department of Health figures show.
But there have been no new deaths reported in either county since the last report..
Lincoln County Commissioners this week adopted a resolution calling a special election hoping voters will approve the formation of an Emergency Medical Services District.
The special election will be held July 13 this year.
