Chandler seniors

We left out the photos of two Chandler seniors in the graduation section we printed in last week’s edition. Here are their photos, along with their bios.

Tyson Rivas is the son of Bridget Hughey and Charlie Rivas. He has attended Chandler Schools since Kindergarten.

He wrestled for Chandler High School and earned the Personal Accountability Award.

He was also involved in Postponing Sexual Involvement, Business Professionals of America, Positive Peers and F.I.S.H. Club, a Christian student organization.

Following graduation, Tyson plans to pursue a degree in ministry at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.

Clint “Ashton” Yates is the son of Clint Yates and Amanda Yates. He has attended Chandler Schools for 13 years. He was selected to serve on the

He was selected to serve on the BancFirst Student Board of Directors. He was a class officer and the March Lion of the Month.

Class and athletic honors include Track and Field Best Mid-distance Runner and two-year state qualifier in track and field. In 2020, he was football captain and was named All-District Wide Receiver.

The University of Central Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in Edmond recently awarded a scholarship to Chandler resident Ashley Mason in recognition of her academic excellence and outstanding service to the university.

Mason, a sociologyhuman services major, received the Department of Sociology, Gerontology and Substance Abuse Studies Scholarship, worth $300.
