Jimmie Skinner, loving son of the late Opal and James “Jack” Skinner, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 62.
Jimmie lived by the Cowboy Code such as “Live each day with honesty and courage.
Be tough, but fair. Be willing to stand up for what’s right. Be an excellent steward of the land and its animals. Do what has to be done. Take pride in your work.Always do your best.” He spoke kindness and love into his wife, Sunni, and he loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. He believed the past is the past and no one deserves to live there. Jimmie, who was the youngest of nine children, is survived by his wife, Lori “Sunni”; the couple’s children, Rochelle Skinner, Jennifer Skinner, Sherry Ford, Jayson Gates, and Whitney Clanton, and their 18 grandchildren.
Jimmie enjoyed caring for animals and had many different animals, including a donkey named Toot, during his life. Jimmie had a passion for riding horses and his Harley Davidson motorcycle, but the thing he loved most was making music with his best friend, Billy Plaster.
