Oliver William Garland, known as Johnny to his family and friends, passed away quietly on December 30, 2025, at the age of 91.
He was the son of Vester R. Garland and Callie Garland Neese.
He was born on October 17, 1934, and was raised in Stroud, Oklahoma, where he grew up living the country life and loved to play sports for the home team. He spent his early adult years living in Edmond, Oklahoma, working for the Edmond School District as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer. He spent the remainder of his adult life in Las Vegas, Nevada, working for and retiring from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as a Senior Facilities Maintenance Engineer. The man could work on and fix anything. Johnny loved spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities. He lived a great life and will be missed. God bless and Godspeed, Johnny.
