Chandler’s boys fell a game short of making a repeat trip to the state tournament, falling 56-43 to second-ranked Roland and 48-42 to 9th-ranked Eufaula.
The Lions went into the area tournament in the winners’ bracket with a 23-4 and No. 7 ranking, but finished the season with a 23-6 record.
Chandler’s girls lost in the first round of area, dropping a 40-27 decision to Roland.
In the first round against Roland, the Chandler boys fell behind by 10 in the first half, got within three in the third period and trailed by 10 going into the fourth quarter.
Jordan Denson led the Chandler offense with 11 points nd Jaydan Denson added 10.
Saturday night against Eufaula, Jordan Denson came up big offensively, dropping in nine field goals and scoring 20 points.
Kyler Gregg added a dozen.
