Josef Simon Bowser was born June 9, 2005, and entered into rest April 18, 2026, at the age of 20. Josef was born in Cushing and raised in Chandler by his parents, Randy and Shelly (Simon) Bowser. He graduated in 2024 and dove right into work.
In 2025, he started working at Dobson Fiber. He enjoyed his job and knew that he wanted it to be his career. Josef was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go deer and duck hunting. He loved fishing, camping andworkingwithhisdadon his truck that he was super proud of. He also mowed yards for his parents, Nanny, and church, and took pride in everything he did. Church and church family were a huge part of Josef’s life. He would go every time the doors were open. Josef loved wearing his boots (he had several pairs) and jeans. He also loved to dress up and look nice. He was a very joyful child who turned into a very kind, compassionate and joyful young man. He loved to joke, tease, and laugh with a bright, beautiful smile that lit up his face. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Samuel Brown, Robert (Poppy) Simon, and Ronald Bowser; grandma, Minnie Brown; uncle, Scott Brown; and Aunt Linda Barker. Survivors include his parents; brothers, Randy Bowser, Jr. of Yukon, Dustin Bowser, of Gilmer, TX, Samuel Bowser of Stroud; sisters, Jessie Harrington and husband Randy of Gilmer,TX. Libby Lovett of Chandler, Shylee Bowser of Yukon, Bayli and Maggie Bowser of the home; seven nephews, Jordyn Harrington and wife Phoebe, Jaxxsyn, Sammy, Ryder, Braxxsyn, Prestyn, and Simon; four nieces, Jaylynn Reyes and husband Mark, Lynlee, Nolia, and Bellami; great nephew, Malachi Reyes; great niece, Ivory Harrington; hisNanny,Barbara Simon of Chandler, his Granny, Rose Bowser of Sandy Ridge, N.C.; aunts, Ruth Johns and husband Shane, of Bristow, Becky Simon of Chandler, Brenda Green and husband Sonny of Del City, Doreen Wooten and husband Buck of Harrah, Monica Stanley and husband Robie of Stoneville, NC., Tami Flud and husband Billy of Chandler; uncles, Ronnie Bowser of Sandy Ridge, NC. Frank Ramirez and wife Sherry Jones; numerous cousins, close relatives, and friends.
He was also expecting another niece at the end of May, whom he was excited to meet.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel, and interment followed in the Davenport Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
