The Davenport School Board passed raises in cafeteria prices, the state minimum teacher salary schedule and reapproved the superintendent’s contract at its regular meeting on July 13.
Cafeteria prices were set at $2.00 for adult breakfast, $3.00 for adult lunch, $.50 for milk and $1.00 for a bottle of water. The Board also approved participation in the National School Lunch Program, Breakfast ProgramandSevereBreakfast Program.
The Board did not go into executive session to discuss the superintendent’s contract, but did approve a three-year contract with Superintendent DannyAcord.
The Board also approved policy EBA. This states that the 2026-27 school year shall consist of no less than 1,086 hours of classroom instruction and 166 days with no more than 30 of these hours used for professional meetings. It also states that parentteacher conferences can be held during the school day and counted as classroom instruction for no more than six hours per semester for a total of 12 hours per school year.
The Board also voted to designate Supt. Acord as the representative for the 2026-27 year as director of federal programs, activity fund custodian, Title VII Impact Aid rep, residency officer, purchasing agent up to $25,000 andAHERA compliance officer.
It approved Kelly Miller as the Davenport School Treasurer and deputy minutes clerk for the 2026-27 school year, Erin Mathes as the minute’s/encumberance clerk, Misty Emmons as the Section 504/Title II of the American with Disabilities Act Coordinator and Age Act Coordinator, and Danny Acord as the Title VI of Civil Rights Act Coordinator and the Title IX Coordinator.
