On February 24, 2024, the chapter will hold a Valentine Celebration Dinner at Ladonna’s Grill in Meeker, Oklahoma where Sue Helms will be crowned as Beta Sigma Phi’s Valentine Queen. Sue Helms was born, raised, and graduated in Liberal, Kansas, which makes her a Jayhawker.

Wellston man changes plea

A Wellston man charged and described as an accomplice on drug related charges and a firearms count n December of 2022 has entered a guilty blind plea to five felonies. Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District on Dec. 9, 2022 against Michael Allen Kulp, then 40.

Quick verdict

A Lincoln County jury took only 45 minutes to convict an Edmond man on drug trafficking charges, then took less 40 minutes to recommend his punishment.

Charges for Stroud man

A Stroud man, previously convicted of several felony offenses, has been charged with two drug-related counts and one for a firearms violations. Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on Feb. 16 this year against Ryan Ken Burns, 34.

Chandler to close parts of Allison

A former McLoud High School teacher has pleaded guilty to three felonies for soliciting sex with minors by use of technology and has been handed three suspended sentences.

Sophomore Landon Earp from Chandler High School is set to battle it out on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the OSSAA State Wrestling Championship at the State Fairgrounds Arena in Oklahoma City. This is Earp’s second time qualifying for State.
