Meeker police confiscated a sizable amount of marijuana Monday night right across from Town Hall and arrested the man residing there, they said, as they served a search warrant on his house and property. Assistant Police Chief Scott Wilson identified the man arrested as John Henry Hagar, 34.

Parking lot crash fatal

A collision in the parking lot on the Turner Turnpike in Lincoln County proved fatal for one man and injured a teenaged driver, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. State Trooper Seijo identifi ed the man who died as Joshua Hykeith Graves, 30, of Tulsa.

Trafficking charge dismissed

A felony charge of trafficking in illegal drugsfiledinLincolnCountyDistrictCourt against a Chandler man in February has been dismissed. The formal charge was filed Feb. 25 against Dean Zheng, 51, and a $20,000 warrant was issued at that time.

Special meeting

Lincoln County commissioners during a special meeting recently, voted to accept the J&J settlement agreement. District 3 Commissioner Lee Doolen, who is also chairman of the commission, stated that commissioners took the action following an executive session.

Arraignments in OnCue shooting

The arraignments for two men charged in a shooting at an On Cue in Stroud last Oct. 9 have been continued and a date to hear motions filed by the two has been scheduled.

Big development proposed in NRC

A proposed housing development near the intersection of North Kickapoo Street and Garrett’s Lake Road in the North Rock Creek school district would add 556 new homes if approved by the City of Shawnee. The developer is Ideal Homes and Neighborhoods based in Norman.

Commissioners approve jail engineering

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved engineering services for a jail expansion with BKL Engineers. Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty explained, “We’re trying to gain some square footage in the jail.
