Early voting for the June 28 primary election begins today and area voters in Pottawatomie and Lincoln County may cast ballots at their respective election boards. Republican voters in both counties may cast ballots in the race for District Attorney.

Robyn Ready, of Chandler, has been appointed to serve as a Regent for Seminole State College. The appointment was made by Gov. Kevin Stitt, confirmed by the Oklahoma State Senate Education Committee on May 10 and will be sent to the state Senate for final approval.

Two to stand trial in OnCue shooting

Two men charged in a shooting at an On Cue in Stroud last Oct. 9 have been bound over to stand trial. They were bound over at the conclusion of a preliminary hearing earlier this month.

New polling places

Some voters in Lincoln County will have a new polling place as result of recent changes to precinct boundaries, Melissa Stambaugh, Lincoln County Election Board Secretary announced. Stambaugh said the changes were necessary because of redistricting due to the last census.
