Mask ordinances?

CHELSEA WEEKS Staff writer Chandler’s City Council voted Tuesday night to adopt an ordinance to mandate facial coverings, then revoted a few minutes later and voted not to adopt it. The change came after Glenda Temple realized she had voted in error and wanted to change her vote.

After a shortened year due to the Covid pandemic, members of Stroud’s Beta Sigma Phi chapter met to wrap up the year and announce chapter honors since the Founder’s day event was cancelled. Members met at the American Legion building where social distancing was in order.

Officials of the Sac and Fox Nation and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation have executed a Memorandum of Agreement to reconstruct the bridge over Salt Creek, pictured to the right, on State Highway 99 north of Stroud. The location is 1.26 miles north of US 66.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

As we finish up our second week of self-quarantine at Prairie Pointe, all is well. We are all healthy and feeling blessed to be in a safe place during these uncertain times. We continue to shelter in place with only staff allowed to go and come from the building.

Sac and Fox Nation installs warning system

The Sac and Fox Nation tribal leaders have authorized the purchase and installation of an indoor and outdoor Mass Notification and Warning System for the Tribal Capital Grounds. There are two phases to the installation process.
