The First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Chandler, announced the installation of its new pastor on Jan. 21. Lori Brisco Smithey is the new leader of the church, which has been shepherded by numerous pastors since it was established in late 1891, according to a release.

Last week’s ice storm across Central Oklahoma heavily damaged Lincoln County area roads and it will take some time to fix them.
It impacted travel for those who use the roads daily, among them school buses and businesses.

Prague man pleads guilty

A Prague man has entered a blind guilty plea on a first degree manslaughter charge and his sentencing has been scheduled.
A formal charge was filed March 2 this year in Lincoln County District Court against Joseph Resin Linnhuber. The charge is the result of a fatal traffic collision.
