Remembering the good times

I was looking at a photo on the bookcase in our house this week that my wife had framed some time back. Not sure when we retrieved it from my parents’ house. It was sometime after either dad died in 1988 or my mother’s passing in 2013.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

The Prairie Pointe family has welcomed Leon Williams as the newest member of our family. Leon was born and raised in Stroud by his mom Edith and stepfather Woodrow Sosbee. His real father died when he was two years old.

Services available for long-term care residents

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program provides an advocate for long-term care residents, particularly those without family to help advocate on their behalf, to express their questions and concerns. Along with resident advocacy, local Ombudsmen also offer other resources and information.

December Rotarians of the month announced

Chandler High School seniors Jillian Anderson and Victorian Barton were named student members of the Rotary Club for December 2020. Jillian Anderson is the daughter of Glenn and Melissa Anderson. She has one older sibling.

Clagg and Rickner are January Lions of the Month

Chandler High School seniors Spencer Clagg and Cobie Rickner have been chosen as Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club for the month of January. Spencer Clagg, the son of Eric and Tonya Clagg, holds a 3.25 grade point average while taking advanced classes in English for four years.

Brooks Nickell

Brooks Nickell, a Davenport High School graduate, was recently hired as the Web and Multimedia Coordinator at Seminole State College in Seminole, Okla. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis on videography and photography from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
