Dale school board rehires staff, coaches

The Dale Board of Education this week approved hiring of certified personnel and the athletic department for the 2021-2022 school year. And Dale Acting School Supt. Ky Wilkins during his report, informed the board the floor in the new high school gymnasium is starting to ripple.

Chandler man charged with kidnapping

A Chandler man has been charged with kidnapping following his arrest in early March. Tyronne Ashly Long, 40, was formally charged in Lincoln Coutny District Court on March 12. He is accused of holding Rachelle Bannister against her will on March 8 this year in Lincoln County.

Wellston woman faces charges after arrest

A woman from Wellston is facing a felony and a misdemeanor following her arrest by an Iowa Tribe Police officer in mid-March. Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on March 22 against Kimberly Page Cothan, 53.

Bench warrant issued in firearm case

A $20,000 bench warrant was issued for a Chelsea man who faces three felony counts filed against him in Lincoln County District Court.

Stroud man faces felony in pursuit

A driver from Stroud is facing a felony and two misdemeanors following a high speed pursuit in November where he eluded an officer.

Chandler band gets superior at state

CHS band went to District contest in Cushing on March 10 and placed Superior in both performance and sight reading. They were then eligible for State contest. They went to State contest on March 30, 2021 in Elk City and again scored Superior in both performance and sight reading.
