Reminder: Salute to Veterans deadline November 4

The Lincoln County News, Tri-County Herald and Stroud American will publish a Salute to Veterans in the edition of Nov. 12. The quickly approaching deadline to submit photos is 5 p.m. Nov. 4, but the earlier you submit them, the better.

Comm. approve changes to the 2020-2021 budget

Lincoln County Commissioners this week took action to submit changes to the budget maker for the 2020-2021 fiscal year budget. County Clerk Alicia Wagnon explained the commissioners increased the County Assessor’s Capital Outlay by $100,000 for new software.

Dale school board discuss enrollment

Dale Board of Education members were advised this week that enrollment numbers are about the same reported to them in early September by staff. Acting School Supt. Ky Wilkins and Assistant Secondary School Principal J.D. Widner said, “We’re basically about the same as we were last month.

Chandler Chamber to resume meetings

The Chandler Ag Booster has postponed their Annual Fund Raiser, “Bash for Cash.” “Out of concern for our community, volunteers and students, unfortunately we will be postponing our annual fund raiser,” said John Manning, President of the Chandler Ag Booster.
