The United States Supreme Court, by its historic 4-4 vote, has rejected an effort by St. Isidore of Seville Catholic School to become a publicly funded Charter School.From the outset, it has seemed to us this blatantly unconstitutional and mixing of state and church was not at all wise.

How I got my grater

I was at the OBU RAWC, the school’s auditorium/ gymnasium, for an admitted student day. During the awards ceremony I was sitting next to this girl with curly brown hair.

Can you believe another school year is coming to a close? Wednesday marks the last day of the 2024-25 school year for students and teachers will complete their school year on Friday.

Memorial Day

This upcoming Memorial Day weekend is shaping up to be a little different for my wife Pat and me and what we normally we do on it.Pat and I usually visit four cemeteries, two here in the Shawnee area and two more in Oklahoma City.

Joann Page

Joann Page, 79, of Davenport, Oklahoma, passed away on Easter morning, April 20, 2025. Born on January 19, 1946, in Rich Hill, Missouri, Joann lived a life defined by love, family, and faith. She was the beloved wife of Burt Page, who preceded her in death on May 16, 2005.

Weekend

A couple of weeks ago early one Sunday morning, my wife Pat decided it was time to go buy flowers so she could plant them whenever she was ready.My role is helping to go and pick up the flowers, the potting soil and whatever else she thinks she needs.

As many of you are aware, this coming Sunday is Mother’s Day. I firmly believe it’s a day to honor the women in our lives. The mothers, grandmothers and other women who do so much for us men and our children.
