No contest plea

A Sparks man facing four felonies and a couple of misdemeanors has pleaded no contest to four of the counts and his sentencing has been scheduled.

A Carney man charged with felony child abuse has pleaded guilty and been sentenced.Austin McDougal, 22, was charged in Lincoln County District Court Feb. 26, 2024 with one count of child abuse. He made his initial appearance on Feb. 29 before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk.

Joseph Johnson was born on September 15, 1960, to John Johnson and JoAnn Johnson in Moline, Illinois. He left this world peacefully at home on November 11, 2024.Joe graduated from Stroud High School in 1978. He spent most of his life as a diesel mechanic for Miller Truck Lines in Stroud, Oklahoma.
