A bench warrant issued for the arrest of a Norman man facing two charges has been returned and filed and he made his initial appearance on Nov. 2. David Ade, 57, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Oct.

The Kendrick Fire Department will hold its annual pig roast on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Kendrick Fire Station. It’ll be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is being sponsored by the Davenport Masonic Lodge. The event has continually grown over the years and is set to be bigger this year.

After 11 weeks of regular season play, the playoff picture has snapped into focus for the area football teams. Six of the seven football-playing schools in the area made the playoffs, with Chandler, Stroud and Prague having first-round games at home.

Chandler’s Lions shook off what ailed them a week ago and beat Luther, 37-20, Friday in a game that didn’t feel that close. It was the regular-season finale and left the Lions with an 8-2 record and in second place in District 2A-2.
