Wanda Jo Martin

Wanda Jo Martin was born February 17, 1941, in Nashville, Ark. She died Monday, November 29, 2021, at her home in Agra at the age of 80 years. Martin, the daughter of George Gray and Lillie Cleo (Hill) Reed, married James T. Martin Jr. on September 25, 1960, in Arkansas.

Edith Lorraine (Rounsavell) Costner

Edith Lorraine (Rounsavell) Costner departed this life peacefully in her home on December 1, 2021. Edith was born in Chandler on May 16, 1923, to Gaynelle (Popplewell) and V.K. (“Shorty”) Rounsavell. She attended Chandler schools and graduated with the “Class of ’41 (War Years)”.

Wilma Dortha (Murray) Miller-King

Wilma Dortha (Murray) Miller-King, long-time resident of Chandler, Okla., passed away on December 5, 2021, in Shawnee, Okla., at the age of 96. Wilma was born on February 24, 1925, in Carney, Okla., to Elmer Nickles and Stella Elizabeth (Farrow) Murray.

Dan Gibson Thomsen

A memorial service will be held for Dan Gibson Thomsen at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church in Wellston. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.

R.D. Reynolds

R.D. Reynolds of Meeker, Okla., passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the age of 84. R.D. was born on August 24, 1937, in Foster, Okla. He was the son of Oscar and Ollie (Cole) Reynolds. He grew up in Duncan and attended Duncan Public Schools. R.D. was a 1956 graduate of Duncan High School.

Masons donate $4K to Stroud School Foundation

The Stroud Masons teamed up with the Stroud School foundation and sponsored the Parkview Fall Carnival on October 28. The Masons presented a check in the amount of 4,000.00 to the Stroud School Foundation. The check represented 2,000.00 raised at the Carnival and 2,000.
