Chandler FFA students

Three students from the Chandler FFA Chapter placed eighth overall at the 2020 American Farmers & Ranchers Livestock Handling Contest held at Oklahoma National Stockyards in Oklahoma City earlier this month.

Charges in gun-related case

A Sparks man faces two felony charges and he has at least two prior convictions. A Wellston resident also has been charged with a felony, and court records show he has five previous convictions for felonies. A bench warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Felony charges for Acosta

A Stroud woman faces a dozen felonies after an assortment of drugs were found in her possession in a Lincoln County jail cell, authorities report.

Whitfield signs with El Paso

Meeker football player Tim Whitfield, above, signed a contract to play football for the West Texas Buccaneers, based in El Paso, Texas The team is in the American Arena League and competes in a division with teams from Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, and San Antonio.

We’re about to bring the curtain down on 2020. This year will be one that not many people will ever forget. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, many, many people have said this year can’t get over quick enough. Others have uttered they are ready for 2020 to be done.
