Earl Jones

Earl Jones, a Tupelo resident, passed away Friday,March15,2024, at the age of 90. Born on April 9, 1933, north of Walters, Oklahoma, on Cache Creek. Earl was the son of Claud and Willie (Lovelady) Jones. In 1951, he married Ruth Turnpaugh, and together they raised three children.

Earl is survived by his three children, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; two special sisters-in-law. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Marie Jones, his parents Claud and Willie Jones, and his beloved daughter-in-law Donna Jones. Services were held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Brown’s Funeral Chapel, Coalgate, Oklahoma, with internment at Centrahoma Cemetery.
