Edward Lee Kinkaid was born in Cushing, Oklahoma, on November 5, 1956, to Amos Alton and Reeva Modine Kinkaid. He passed from this life and entered into his heavenly home on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years. Edward (Ed) was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Danny Elton Kinkaid. He is survived by his wife Penny of the home; son, Bryan; daughter, Stacey; special friend, Rose Jordan who Ed and Penny adopted in their heart as a daughter; one brother, Robert Hugh Kinkaid and his wife Jeannie Marie of Claremore, Oklahoma; one sister, Judith Kirk of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a church family that loved him dearly.
Ed loved taking his wife Penny on motorcycle rides. He enjoyed shooting guns with his friends and his brother. He also loved taking his wife riding through the countryside in their jeep. One of Ed and Penny’s most enjoyable times was sitting on their back porch sipping coffee and watching their cats play. Ed had a great gift of buying old things at yard sales and swap meets and restoring them. He definitely was a collector of many different things. Ed also had the ability to grow vegetables which he loved sharing with his friends and family. Ed was a very faithful member of the Successful Word Church and will be dearly missed by everyone.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Successful Word Church under the direction of Boydston-Bailey Funeral home in Luther, Oklahoma.
