Jerry Don Henry, a long-time resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 75. Jerry was born on Monday, November 29, 1948, in Ada, Oklahoma to Millard and Katherine (Denham) Henry. He attended school at Centerview School in Prague, OklahomaandgraduatedfromPragueHighSchoolin 1967. He later attended and graduated from OSUIT in Okmulgee. Jerry married Connie (Taylor) Henry in 1970. She preceded him in death in 1997. Jerry later went on to marry Gwen (Lee) Henry in June of 2004. Jerry was the owner of Taylor Ford, Inc. in Chandler for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed racing late model cars, his cattle, motorcycles, boats, and his family. Jerry previously served as a Chandler City Councilman.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Millard Henry; mother, Katherine Henry; and his wife, Connie Henry. Jerry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Erik and Jennifer Henry; daughter and Son-in-law Stephanie and Brent Brown; grandson Connor Brown; wife, Gwen Henry; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Ken Hayden; their son and family, Jeff, Katie, and Sammi Kate Hayden; and brother Gene Henry.
Graveside services for Jerry were held on Saturday, December30,2023,atOakParkCemetery,Chandler. Condolencescanbeexpressedatwww.parksbrothers. net. In lieu of flowers, Jerry’s family is asking that a donation be made in his name to a charity of your choice. Services are in the care of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler, Oklahoma.
