Jimmy Don Spence, 70, a 23-year resident of Wellston, Oklahoma, passed away at home, on the night of July 9, 2023, surrounded by family and friends after battling cancer. He was born October 1, 1952, in Chandler, Oklahoma to Jewell and Rex Spence.
Jimmy obtained his welding certificate in the mid-1980s and lead his own successful welding business and rewarding career in the oil field in Texas.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Rex Spence; and his brother, Gerald Spence. Survivors include the love of his life, his wife, Kim Spence; son, Adrin Spence; daughter Ariel Tinsley; brother, Dick Spence; mother, Jewell Spence; and one grandson.
Memorial contributions in Jimmy’s honor can be made to the humane society in honor of his loyal canine companion, Abby, that went to be with him in heaven just hours after him. Alternatively, the family would graciously accept donations to aid in the cost of services. A private interment will be scheduled later. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
