Michael Lee Haggard was born August 11, 1951 in Oklahoma City to Kenneth and Charlene (McCamey) Haggard. He passed away August 18, 2023 at the age of 72.
Michael grew up in Wellston where he attended school graduating with the Wellston High School Class of 1969. Michael owned and operated liquor stores in both Mississippi and later Oklahoma.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Charlene Haggard; and a grandson. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Mary Ann of the home; daughters, Melisa Peterson and her husband Justin of Guthrie, Jennifer Haggard of Texas; four grandchildren; step-sons, Patrick Kimbrell, Stephen Kimbrell and his wife Alissa, Andy Kimbrell, Tommy Kimbrell; and his brother, Alan Haggard and his wife Carol of Edmond.
A graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24th 2023 at the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
