Richard Wayne Plute was born to Frank and Anna Jane (Provorse) Plute on October 13, 1943, in Coffeyville, Kan. He died Monday, September 13, 2021, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 77 years.
Following his service in the United States Air Force as an electronic communications and cryptographic equipment systems repairman, he worked in various enterprises with his family. He was a member of Liberty Church in Stroud.
His parents and his sister-in-law LaVonne Plute preceded him in death.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Linda Plute of Coffeyville, Eddie and Bonnie Plute of Sand Springs, Okla., Ken Plute of Stroud; and other relatives and friends.
Services were Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Liberty Church with the Rev. Tim Gillespie officiating. Burial followed at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud. Memorial donations can be made to the Stroud Food Pantry.
