Lewises to celebrate 70th

Lloyd and Nelda Lewis will observe their 70th Wedding Anniversary on May 28, 2022. They were married May 28, 1952, in the home of her parents in Sulphur, Okla. In 1970 they purchased farmland near Sparks, Okla., building a home there later.

Springdale School reunion planned

The Springdale School Reunion will be held at noon, Saturday, June 4, at the Chandler Senior Citizens Building. Bring your favorite dish or dessert for a potluck meal. If you have pictures or any memorabilia, bring those to share with fellow alumni.

Wellston FFA member wins Star Award

Shaley Barnes of the Wellston FFA Chapter won the State Star in Agribusiness award at the 96th Oklahoma FFA Convention and Expo on May 4 at the BOK Center.

Area students get degrees from UCO

The University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond celebrated the achievements of approximately 1,351 graduates during the Spring 2022 Commencement Ceremonies May 6-7, in Central’s Hamilton Field House. Following are the graduates from the Lincoln County area and the degrees they received.

Chandler High School vocal music honored

On Monday, April 11th, the Chandler School Board recognized the Vocal Music Department and many of its students for multiple groups and individual accomplishments listed below. The School Board gave the students a standing ovation once all of their accomplishments had been listed.

PRAGUE KOLACHE FESTIVAL NEWS

Talent Contest The Prague Kolache Festival Local Talent Audition was held last month at the Prague Auditorium. Ten participants competed for a chance at three spots to perform at the grandstand during the festival on Saturday, May 7.

Prague Alumni making plans

Tickets are available for the Prague High School Alumni Banquet scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at the Prague Community Center. Tickets are $20 each and are sold at Vision Bank and BancFirst in Prague.
