Local high school concert bands competed recently at Districts, with some proceeding to state.Bands from Chandler, North Rock Creek, Stroud, McLoud, Dale, Meeker and Prague all competed at Districts.

Stroud Utility Authority to continue talks with sober living home

The Stroud Utilities Authority voted to continue negotiations with a sober living facility about the possible use of the Stroud Wilderness Center at its regular meeting on March 12.

High winds lead to power outages across state

Strong winds knocked out power for many homes across Oklahoma on Sunday, including some in Lincoln County.The entire state was under a red flag fire warning, with Lincoln County especally on alert as March 14 marked the one year since fires burned through around 10,000 acres in the area.
