A Prague woman facing a harboring from justice charge has waived a speedy trial. Whitney Harrison, 34 at the time and from Prague, was charged July 29, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court.

Two people have been arrested by Lincoln County deputies after possible human remains were discovered in the western part of Lincoln County. Arrested were Janelle Brown, 39, and Clyde Clayton, 42.

Leo the Lion is going to the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. On June 7th, Ashlee Beatty attended the Universal Cheer Association’s cheer camp where she tried-out for All-American and was named Chandler High School’s first All-American mascot. “It’s a very, very big deal,” Beatty said excitedly.

Carney School bonds

Voters residing in the Carney School District overwhelmingly approved two bond propositions in a special election on Tuesday. With all five precincts reporting along with Absentee votes and early voting, Proposition 1 passed with 59 or 75.64 percent in favor and only 19 or 24.36 percent against it.

Snider to be inducted into cheer coaches hall of fame

Chandler cheer coach Cynthia Snider will be inducted into the Oklahoma Cheer Coaches Association on July 28, School Supt. Scott Baade told the school board during this week’s meeting. Snider has taught at Chandler for 23 years and coached cheer the entire time.

Democrats to meet

Trial set for Wellston man

A Wellston man facing several felonies in two cases, has pleaded not guilty in both cases and he has been scheduled for the felony disposition docket in the fall.

Hearing continued in manslaughter

A pre-preliminary hearing has been continued again for a young Prague man charged with first degree manslaughter. A formal charge was filed March 2 this year in Lincoln County District Court against Joseph Resin Linnhuber. The charge is the result of a fatal traffic collision.
