County to move extension office

Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to moving the OSU Extension Service from the Courthouse to a new space, approving paying the rental cost that includes utilities.

Murder defendant picks up additional charges

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a man awaiting trial on a first degree murder charge, who was handed prison terms on five non-related felonies last November and now faces five more felonies he allegedly committed while in the Lincoln County jail.

Hearing continued in drug probe

Hearings have been scheduled for two Dale area people who were charged after a search warrant was served by Lincoln County deputies regarding a drive-by shooting. It led to felonies being filed against three people in the Dale and McLoud area.

Carney man waives speedy trial

A Carney man facing a felony and a misdemeanor charge has waived a speedy trial and his cause has been set for further disposition. Formal charges were filed Oct. 26, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court against Joseph Dewayne Kalka, 35.

Rodeo time

Several Lincoln County contestants will compete in the International Finals Youth Rodeo that kicks off Sunday night at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee. Among them are Rylee Moore of Chandler, Kaylin McRae of Meeker and Kyndra Darphin of Carney.
