My wife Pat and I journeyed down to our little place at the lake this past weekend. It was the first time since last fall that we had been able to go down there. Normally we drive down either late Friday afternoon or early evening and come back on Sunday.

Recently my wife Pat and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. We were married July 1, 1978 in the chapel at St. Gregory’s. It was a Saturday morning at 10:30. This year July 1 fell on a Saturday also.

Our community enjoyed another terrific fireworks show and July 4th celebration in Foster Park last week. Thanks to all who made this possible. I read many comments that stated Stroud’s fireworks were one of the best around. We can add that to our list of reasons we are Stroud Proud.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play miniature golf this weekend at Putt Putt Kicks on Route 66. We appreciate the support. Not only did we have lots of local golfers, but we also had a family from Bristow who made a special trip to play with us.
